If you are looking for bells and whistles then this application is not for you. If you are looking for a simple Graphical replacement for the command line driven BZip2 compressor/decompressor then this is perfect for you.
bzip2 is a freely available, patent free (Open Source), high-quality data compressor. It typically compresses files to within 10% to 15% of the best available techniques (the PPM family of statistical compressors), whilst being around twice as fast at compression and six times faster at decompression.
Feature 1 (Unix/Linux roots) This is a descendant of GZip(Gunzip), with a tighter squeeze. The application is originally command line driven, but who want to run applications from DOS anymore? This is a GUI version.
Feature 2 (Functionality) Most of the bells and whistles of the command line version are not present. This version is simply for compression and decompression of *.bz2 files (nothing fancy). Please check back later since this Version is still under development. The developer plans to implement all the features found in the Command line version.
