The Pandora Engine SDK is an object-oriented development environment that is specially designed for multi-platform use. The equivalent of a swiss-army knife for developers, it provides support for audio, graphics, effects, compression, scripting, interfaces and more. Supported data files include ZIP, PNG, PCX, IFF, JPEG, WAV, S3M, MOD, IT, XM, CFG and DML.

The environment is fully self-contained, which allows for easier porting. It can be used for creating both applications and games. The SDK requires that you download and install the Pandora Engine binaries that are available from the Rocklyte Systems web site (www.rocklyte.com). The Pandora Engine is free to use for developers writing free software, and a large amount of related source code is available for download.
